By accessing or using the platform, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not use the platform.

CML provides a structured, rules-based comparison platform designed to help users compare legal service providers.

CML collects and presents market information and applies structured comparison methods intended to help users make more informed decisions when selecting a legal service provider.

The platform is intended to assist decision making by surfacing relevant market signals and comparison information.

The platform is designed to:

• present information relating to pricing and other comparison factors;
• provide users with information intended to assist their decision making;
• allow users to compare participating legal service providers; and
• facilitate user-requested contact with participating firms.

CML does not provide legal services, legal representation or legal advice of any kind.

Information presented through the platform is provided for comparison and information purposes only and is intended to assist users in making more informed decisions when selecting a legal service provider. Such information should not be treated as legal advice or relied upon as a substitute for obtaining independent professional advice.

Users remain responsible for deciding whether a particular legal service provider or service is suitable for their individual circumstances.

Any legal services obtained through the platform are provided directly by the selected law firm, which remains solely responsible for legal advice, legal services and client engagement.

CML seeks to present information as accurately as reasonably possible.

However:

• pricing information may change over time;
• participating firms may amend their services or availability;
• some information may be estimated or derived from structured methodologies; and
• third-party information may not always remain current.

Users should independently consider whether a participating firm and any information presented through the platform is suitable for their own circumstances.

Nothing on the platform constitutes a guarantee or warranty regarding any participating firm or any legal outcome.

Users may choose to:

• request contact from a participating law firm by requesting a callback; or
• proceed with a participating law firm through the platform by pressing Select.

Where a user chooses to do so:

• the user will be informed that their details will be shared with the selected firm;
• users must actively confirm that they wish their information to be shared with the selected firm before submission; and
• CML will share the relevant information necessary to facilitate the requested contact.

Users agree:

• to provide accurate information where requested;
• not to misuse the platform;
• not to interfere with platform functionality;
• not to attempt unauthorised access to systems or information; and
• not to use the platform for unlawful purposes.

Participating law firms are independent organisations and remain solely responsible for the legal services they provide, including legal advice, client engagement, regulatory compliance and service delivery.

CML provides a structured comparison and referral platform intended to assist users in making more informed decisions. Users remain responsible for deciding whether a participating firm is suitable for their individual circumstances.

While CML seeks to present information as accurately as reasonably possible, CML does not guarantee, represent or warrant:

• the suitability of any participating firm for a user's particular circumstances;
• the quality, performance or availability of any participating firm's services;
• the accuracy or continuing accuracy of third-party information; or
• any legal outcome, result or commercial outcome arising from engagement with a participating firm.

CML may update, amend, suspend or withdraw platform features or functionality from time to time.

While CML aims to maintain availability of the platform, uninterrupted access cannot be guaranteed.

All intellectual property rights in the platform and its contents are owned by CML or its licensors unless otherwise stated.

This includes, without limitation:

• the CML name, branding and logos;
• website content, text, graphics and design;
• platform structure and presentation;
• datasets and database compilations;
• pricing methodologies and comparison frameworks;
• scoring systems, ranking methodologies and weighting approaches;
• software, code and technical architecture; and
• any supporting documentation, descriptions or explanatory materials published by CML.

Any explanation or disclosure relating to the operation of the platform, including information contained within any Ranking Transparency Statement or similar explanatory materials, is provided solely for transparency and user information purposes.

Such disclosure shall not be interpreted as granting any right to reproduce, copy, reverse engineer, extract, adapt, replicate or commercially exploit any aspect of CML's methodology, platform logic or proprietary systems.

Users must not:

• systematically copy, scrape, harvest or extract platform content, data or materials for the purpose of reproducing, competing with or commercially exploiting the platform or its underlying systems;
• use automated tools, bots or similar technologies in a manner that imposes unreasonable technical demands on the platform, circumvents technical controls, or is intended to reproduce, replicate or commercially exploit CML content, datasets, methodologies or services;
• reverse engineer or attempt to derive underlying platform logic, code or methodologies;
• use platform content or materials for competing commercial purposes; or
• otherwise use the platform in a manner intended to replicate or commercially exploit CML's systems or services.

Nothing in these Terms prevents lawful use of publicly available information or limits any rights that cannot legally be restricted.

CML expressly reserves all legal rights and remedies available to it in relation to any unauthorised use, reproduction, extraction, adaptation, disclosure, reverse engineering or commercial exploitation of its intellectual property, platform materials, methodologies, databases or proprietary systems.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Subject to that limitation, CML shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the platform or reliance upon information obtained through it.

Use of the platform is also governed by:

• our Privacy Policy; and
• our Cookie Policy.

CML may update these Terms from time to time.

The latest version will always be published on the platform.

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to any dispute arising from or connected with these Terms or use of the platform.
